What do the percentiles mean?

If your child is in the 20th percentile for weight, for example, he
weighs more than 20 percent of children his age and less than the other
80 percent. To gain a better understanding of what growth percentile
results mean, click here if you have a child (ages 0-12 months), and click here if you have a toddler (ages 12-36 months).

Our Growth Percentile Calculator is a general educational tool only;
it is not the last word on how your child is growing. This calculator
is not a substitute for having a physician monitor your child's growth
during regularly scheduled examinations. If you have any questions about
your child's growth patterns, please ask your child's doctor.

These percentiles were compiled using the latest growth chart data
from the National Center for Health Statistics, U.S. Public Health
Service (released in November 2000). The numbers are based on five
health surveys done in the United States between 1963 and 1994. The data
takes into account the combined growth patterns of babies from all
races and ethnicities and those who have been breast- and formula-fed.
Past growth charts, which were widely used by pediatricians since 1977
and adopted by the World Health Organization for international use since
1978, were often criticized because they were based on data from a
single study of primarily formula-fed, white, middle-class infants in a
limited geographic area of southwestern Ohio.

Nicole 戒片已有一段日子, 可惜仍然要大人抱上坐廁去 wee wee or boo boo...

所以近日 mama 的起心肝上網搵 tool 解決

Winki EE 囝囝子昊都用緊, 希望 Nicole 都會做得到 !!!

Nicole 今晚一見新的廁所椅送比佢, 顏色又靚, 十分興奮, 皆因 "新屎坑" 啫, 不過一向怕死的佢有 d 驚係上面轉身坐低, 希望佢練習多 d, 熟能生巧就有多 d 信心 la~~~

Nicole 1st day to St Catherine K1

今日係 Nicole 第一日返新學校 St Catherine K1, mama 幾驚寶貝女唔鍾意, 因為呢個暑假 Nicole 仲係 THINK 的 summer course 返咗 6 weeks, 佢成日仲開口埋口 Miss Mak, Miss Clare...

點知小朋友的適應力奇高, 對所有新事物都感到好奇, 仲等我呢幾日時常做定心理輔導, 同佢講 "你大個女 la, 要返新學校, 有新老師, 新同學...“

最有效就係有 ”新校服 !!!" , 因為有裙著, 貪靚的 Nicole 開心到飛起 ^v^

呢兩日係 Orientation days, 要家長陪, 查實係 brief 家長一大堆野... 好彩有 school bus 接送...  一大架 school bus full 晒, 因為由弘景台出發, 我哋差不多係尾站, 仲係 for 兩間分校, 而每個小朋友都有一個 parent 陪, 實全車爆滿 la !!!

同 Nicole 係 school bus 用 iPhone4 玩自拍 =)

Nicole 分派去了 N Pear class, 同班有 14 個小朋友, 大家都差不多大, 屬於細仔班, 有 3 個主要 teachers

1. English teacher : Miss Becky <-- NET (Native English Teacher)
2. Chinese teacher : Miss G. L. To
3. Putonghua teacher : 利老師

課室好細, 係 THINK LN 班房一半 size... >6<

老師 brief 家長時, 小朋友各自玩玩具, 少不免有爭吵場面, Nicole 第一日已經同人爭玩具, 係咁叫對面個小朋友同佢 sharing, 人地唔肯, 佢就喋喋不休咁話人唔乖, 唔比 ice-cream 佢食, 似足佢 mama 咁長氣, 又氹人以 ice-cream 交換玩具, 幾識 negotiation, kaka~~~ 唔怪得 THINK 的 Miss Mak 話 Nicole 有 d 小領袖本色

總括嚟講, 呢間學校比 mama 的感覺認真麻麻...

1. 巴巴閉閉, 上校車又要扣呢塊 blue 花花牌, 如果當日放學唔搭 school bus 又要將佢扣係背脊, 仲要 11:00am 前打電話比學校講定, 最好寫埋字條放係書包比班主任, 太遲通知一概不受理 !!!

2. 呢兩個星期仲要帶埋呢條 blue 帶以知析別校車, 今日臨放學時仲聽到廣播 (真係“廣播”, 好似十幾廿年前 d 茶樓叫 "某某某去大堂聽電話果隻", 叫 2 號, 4 號, x 號的同學準備 line up 去校門搭校車

3. d staff 幾吋, 名校嘛, 校車 ee 千叮萬囑家長要準時, 校車唔等人... 老師見 mama 影相, 即時 warn mama 只可影自己 kid only, 其他一概不準攝錄, 包括佢哋同學校設備, 有寶咩 =X

4. Nursery class 係 ground floor, 但竟然洗手間係 unisex !!! 即冇分男女 !!! 作為 mama 的我 “真係接受唔到 lor !!!" 眼見一個小男生企係尿兜到 wee wee, 而隔離就坐住個小女生, OMG !!! 點得 ga !!! 最衰仲係得一個嬸嬸負責一個 toilet (最多可以有 8個小朋友用 4 個尿兜, 4 個屎塔), 我真係怕個女會生 ”眼挑針“ !!!

5. 超細班房, 雖然話有其他 group activity, 但成日屈係個 "豆膶" 咁細的斗室真係可憐

唉... mama 幫 Nicole 轉校係啱定係錯呢!?
